What a wonderful location, Hawaii
Hawaii is like no other place on earth. It is the only state in the United States made up entirely of islands and is home to one of the most active volcanoes, and the world’s tallest sea mountain. It is also the birthplace of modern surfing and hula.
Basically, I am not included in the travel blog because I did not go here. Due to busy schedules and it is a school year that is why I wasn’t able to come. I will just share the experiences of my mom when she went there. My mom and my aunt went to Hawaii because they attended a garden wedding in Waimanalo Beach. They departed in NAIA by 7:30pm, August 15, 2018, and arrived there by 5am. Hawaii is made up of 8 major islands; Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, Niihau, Kahoolawe and Hawaii island (Big Island). Each island has its own distinctive personality and offers its own adventures, activities, and sights. Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii and is located on Oahu island and this the travel location of my mom.
When they arrived there they booked in Marriot Hotel, Ko Olina. My mom and aunt said that it was a little costly expensive hotel but it was nice. It’s like a modern house but a hotel

So if you are looking for a hotel to stay in, try to add Marriot Hotel in your list.
They went to North Shore Oahu Honolulu;
Turtle Bay, Waimea Valley Falls, Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck.
They went to a resort near their Hotel which is the Turtle Bay hotel, there are turtles in the bay and tour guides about the resort. After that, they went to Waimea Valley Falls it is like the Dampalit Falls in Laguna, Philippines but the difference is that the water in Waimea Falls is chocolatey in color, but you can still feel the natural world of Waimea Falls.

After the tour, they look for a place to eat. They were all hungry and they decided to eat in Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck. This is not your ordinary fast food chain because of this a food truck that serves a variety of shrimps and other delicacies in Hawaii. According to their Food page,
Giovanni’s started operating out of a converted 1953 bread truck without much more than a few recipes for great shrimp and an entrepreneurial spirit. We drove our beloved truck around the North Shore stopping along the side of the road for a couple hours at each stop to share what we thought was some pretty special food- turns out, we were the only shrimp truck around. Locals took notice and word began to spread about the delicious shrimp… So if you where hungry try to buy the tastiest shrimp in Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck.
And now let’s go to the main event, The Garden Wedding. The wedding occurs in Paradise Cove Luau. The place has a good ambiance, you can see the Hawaiin Culture it is filled with fascinating customs, music, traditions, and values and has good scenery.

And that’s it after the one-week travel experience in Hawaii they return in the Philippines with beautiful tan skins and of course memorable experience and happiness. I recommend Hawaii as your next travel location. Discover great tourist spots in Hawaii and their culture. And share your bliss too!
DOCUMENTARY REVIEW
BECOMING HUMAN PART 2: Birth Of Humanity
“The main facts in human life are five: birth, food, sleep, love, and death.” – E.M. Foster
I have watched a documentary entitled “The Birth Of Humanity – Ep.2” where I have learned more about the evolution of man, more likely to our ancestors on how they able to survived over the millions of years and how these ancestors of ours gave birth to humanity.
Homo erectus is considered a highly variable species, spread over two continents (it’s not certain whether it reached Europe), and possibly the longest-lived early human species – about nine times as long as our own species, Homo sapiens. It is also the oldest known early humans to have possessed modern human-like. Throughout the Human evolution, there are lots of species or ancestors of ours that had lived before and the longest one that existed is the Homo Erectus. They gave birth to humanity because they were able to adapt to the nature they lived in before. They have this ability to adapt that gave early humans the edge to survived over other hominins.
In the documentary that we have watched, scientists had discovered a boy that they called “Turkana boy”; where they experimented. They have discovered that Turkana boy is a species who is a well-preserved skeleton (minus the hand and foot bones), dated around 1.6 million years old. The teeth of the turkana boy indicate that he grew up at a growth rate similar to apes. That’s why they have experimented a lot about homo erectus or our ancestors. Aside from the things they learned about Turkana boy, they also had discovered that homo erectus’ brain is 25% consumed by their speed and their strength. They also can’t live without fire. Their teeth become small because of what they ate. They go to different place to find food for themselves.
Homo Erectus exist for almost 2 million years because of being tall and has a large brain. They required a lot of energy on a regular basis to function. They eat meat and other types of protein that could be quickly digested in order to absorb the nutrients that they need for their body to make more available energy faster. Based on the researched we have made their possible diet also could be honey and underground tubers, they eat this if they can’t find meat. They are speed runners and has muscular strength, this kind of traits helped them to catch their prey or to avoid predators. Moreover, because of having a large brain and they are quite smart, we’ve seen evidence in the archaeological record for the first major innovation in stone tool technology, it consisted of the creation of large cutting tools like hand axes and cleavers that surely helped them to survived in wild. With this tool they were able to kill animals easily, to find food, shelter and surviving in climate change.
To sum it all up, the episode that we watched show us that Homo Erectus are intelligent species. They gave us enough shreds of evidence for us to be able to tell us that they were intelligent. 1.6 million years are enough for them to be able to adapt to their nature and for them to give birth to humanity.
I recommend this Documentary review especially to students who are taking up Biology in their class. It is hard to understand the series of this documentary because of too much-unraveling histories and theories. I hope this will help you.
